Why I'm here.

I came onto this board because I was pointed to it as a place where much misinformation was being presented as fact in order to drum up support in the investor community.  I thought that to be morally reprehensible and thought I would contribute the facts as I saw them and also provide a different perspective from that of a regular investor.

Much of that misinformation was presented by 2guys and I countered it vigorously.

I want to say right now, 2guys, that I am impressed at your realistic approach and your honest assessment of the situation CEC is in.  While I think there is still much we can and will disagree on, I am glad that you seem concerned by the obvious, and serious, missteps Compliance has made both in its failed application and the conduct of its senior management.

It is sad that some still believe they can 'win' an argument by belittling others or calling names.  It is sad that instead of addressing the issues, one resorts to personal attacks and character assassinations.  All those things really do is speak volumes about the person on the other end of the keyboard.

The fact is, in the 21st century, no one should be surprised that an online, public, and free bulletin board is used to debate serious issues no matter what the focus of that bulletin board happens to be.  There are no shadows to hide in anymore... and I believe that to be a good thing for all involved, business and citizen alike.

This project remains controversial, political, passionate and significant in terms of local and global impact.

Investors should be made well aware of that fact before investing.  For those who have already invested, I hope for your sake you do not lose too much on what was always, and will always be, a risky venture.

And for the record.  I am one of those who have never done anything "activist" related in my life before I crossed paths with this mine.

It was this mine that proposed 60-75 trucks a day coming through my town 24/7 and that spurred me to call on both CEC and Government to use the railway.  Those efforts have so far fallen on deaf ears.   As the issue progressed over the past 3 years I've gone from a conditional supporter of the mine if it went by rail, to an outright opponent of the mine whether it goes by rail or not.  I still fight for the railway to be used for this, or any new development.  But this coal mine, and this company has proven most recently with its application to be incapable or unwilling to take the concerns of the people seriously.

There are a million other ways to create jobs, including sustainable forestry and even other mineable resources and do so responsibly. Coal Mines are the asbestos of our time and must be stopped, and irresponsibly managed coal mines like Raven and CEC have proven to be even before digging a single shovel full of dirt are not even worth consideration.
