Just saying Let's just begin with some clarification. Not hiding behind a name.. I'll say straight out I am neither a Schiffner or Reykdal and know none of them on a deep personal level. I'm however very familiar with the Cash Store and worked there (and maybe still do) for over 10 years and have seen the building of The Cash Store and the ruin of it as well. I see a lot of fingers pointed either to the Reykdals and Schiffners and feel after reading all these immature and ridiculous assumptions to give my personal opinion (and nothing else) from someone who had watched it all. Like a clock has it's many pieces and runs by gears, if one main gear is missing the whole clock will stop working. As neither a fan personally of Cam Schiffner I will say one thing having worked with both him and Gord and his son Barret: While Cam worked there and while Assistive funded the cash store it profited. Sure the corporate office took all the profits and misapropriated them to the lifestyles of the key players but it still made money, employees were paid, severances were actually paid out and on and on and on. I took part in the snickering of the little Schiffner and agreed with the many who said he only worked there because he married a Reykdal but facts are facts. Since he left the company fell to pieces quickly. Assistive's money gone and should be as Cam was not there to make sure Gord actually paid the interest back.. But I now see looking around at the ruin that lies in the corporate office that maybe this guy I made fun of actually worked and knew what he was doing?? Could it be? Branch employees were happier and DVP's were held more accountable and money actually came in. Since the day Cam left the building and took his dads money with him this joke of a company has fallen apart and no longer made money. The Schiffners were the gear that kept that company afloat and now times up. And at the end of the day I don't care about anyone's immature comments and attacks. To all of you who make or made your money from this company and now struggle to make ends meet and worry if you'll even be paid, I really feel for you and know how you feel. It's all the people who did their job and are now shafted, all those who invested in Gord's bull**** scheme to try to make a buck who paid. And where is Gord now? Hiding in UK with Barret and other family because he can't even face the employees and shareholders he stole from. I wonder if CCAA will be reversed and Schiffner's might be back in the drivers seat? We know they have the funding and proven success to run this company.
