RE:RE:Not good PR for Enercarewhoda, yup, give your head a shake.
$800 for installation?
Not a chance.  And $400 - $500 is high, even for the GTA.  Installation would be cheaper in the rural towns.  Home Depot or Lowes will install for under $400.

These water heater companies are shady - I got rid of mine 15 years ago after the second price increase was announced within a few years.  No change in equipment, they decided to increase the monthly rate.  When I asked them to come pick up the rental unit, they said it would take 30 days (another extra month) and there would be a $75 pickup fee.  But I won out in the end - they couldn't count days and missed the pickup date.  Contract stipulated that fee would be waived if not picked up on time.  They weren't going to rebate the fee, but one email and a quick conversation with a manager got me results.  Bottom line, I purchased a water heater with a 12 year warranty that paid for itself in under 5 years.  And that includes the extra $100 I had to pay for a mixing valve (Ontario nanny state) that is now near the end of its life.
