Overreaction
So I think this sell off is an over reaction, and took the opportunity to buy the January 57.50 calls.

Buying a 57.00 call, I hope it's a leap and for 2018 because buying a 57 call for next month sounds like a pretty quick way to spend money for nothing.

No it's not a leap. And why would it be spending money for nothing. The Jan 57.50 call is trading right around 50 cents. Prior to yesterday's $4.00 plus drop off, it was selling at $2.00. I don't think it's too much of a reach to rebound back over $1.00 which would be fine with me.
