True, but it was agreed to on by both sides.
THIS time if they don't give the money by the 7th then the contract is done but they are still bound by it. Remember, KMDC is simply the middle man, therefore they cant afford to mess this up again like they did in Myanmar.
With proven oil reserves totalling to more than $300 mill+, I think an investment of 100 mill into this play is definitely a good deal for all parties included, even at $80 oil, which will not last long.

IMO, this contract is still completely enforceable and should the koreans reneg on their requirements, they will be brought to court and order to pay $18 million and possibly legal fees as well.

I am very open to constructive criticism, so please do not hesitate to set me straight with fact, as I am definitely not an expert on this, I simply know the law or business
