Nevada cannabis companies face penalties for violations Published October 23, 2020 Two Nevada marijuana companies might lose their business licenses and incur fines from state authorities for alleged violations of industry regulations. The case appears to represent a new push by regulators to crack down on cannabis companies in the state that dont abide by all the rules. During a meeting of the Nevada Cannabis Compliance Board, the members agreed to settlements for a number of companies that were allegedly caught violating various regulations. But the panel deemed the infractions by Nevada Medical Group and Silver State Cultivation as more egregious, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Nevada Medical Group is accused of allowing six employees to work with expired state-mandated ID cards at its Las Vegas facility, Body and Mind Cannabis. Silver State Cultivation is accused of not keeping a proper security camera malfunction log, apparently skipping a required audit, not following mandated marijuana waste guidelines and having an inventory log that didnt align with the states seed-to-sale tracking system. Nevada Medical Group could lose its business license and be fined up to $255,000. Silver State Cultivation could lose its business permit and be fined up to $35,000.
