Somebody has noticed DLKM

It looks like DLKM is victim of a Shorting Campaign. From FailsToDeliver .com, it is apparent that program to short the shatres of DLKM has been in place, and rather than being able to obtain actual shares to short, the perpetrators have resorted to naked shorting increasingly as the success of DLKM's exploration program is announced.

lol.....nobody in their right mind would short a .28 cent stock. It makes no sense. The most money you can make is .28 cents while the amount you stand to lose is many x that. I don't think the shorting theory holds water. Just my opinion.

Well, the chart shows "failures to deliver." How else do those failures come about ? As to who might want to drive down the price of a stock, two possible candidates come to mind: 1. Someone who would desire to see a company fail, and 2. Someone who wants to accumulate at the lowest price. Daily price action, at least currently, would seem to show fairly large blocks (20k) trading ...more

Agree AU that a naked short raid could be afoot. And I mentioned this last week to somebody who doesn't think naked shorting is for real. Fails to deliver is out of control and to those who think people are crazy to short a .28 stock, what you're not realizing perhaps is they can continue to short with abandon and never deliver the purportedly borrowed shares. The SEC denies it occurs ...more

Agreed. So what can we do about it?
Comment by Yukon_Cornelius on Sep 20, 2011 11:17am
Not a dang thing Trav. Except to know it exists and helps provide some logic to what otherwise seems illogical to us. At some point- maybe .28- the buying support serves to combat it. I HOPE that we are seeing a stalemate here to stem the bleeding and who/whatever is responsible walks away. Next good drill results should also help us, but that won't prevent it from happening again.

To combat the shorts, DLKM needs promotion. If they brought Harp Sangha and Byron Hampton back, they could easily drive this up to 70 cents with the news that will come..I say again, they need promotion. They were foolish to dump Harp S (and with him Byron H), as these guys could move paper..I say, I say, I say again, bring back HS and BH to help promote the stock. The TZ management threw the baby ...more

Bringing Harp in some capacity back might help remove that negative tone article by Peter Kennedy that one first sees at the top of the list of Community News here at the DLKM site on Stockhouse.  And too, maybe it's time to invite Thom Calandra out to the project sites to run his hands through the successful diggings.  It does look like Dr. Scheepers was right on target.

I agree what this company needs is promotion everyone can complain as much as they want and all us shareholders have been through rough times with Douglas. But remember Harp ran the company on a shoestring with a lot of his own money. He did not take a salary but took stock at the end which he was more than entitled to. I wonder how much Boetang is making.I'm sure this guy makes a lot of money ...more

Here is the SEC reported short interest. Next publishing date is Monday, the 26th. https://otcbb.com/asp/OTCE_Short_Interest_popup.asp?Symbol=dlkm&StlmtDt=08/31/2011 Nah, I don't believe anyone is naked shorting this stock. Two options IMHO: shorts backed up by cheap options (.075). Say you short at .35-.40, stock goes down to .25, you cover at that level for a quick 28-37%. Stock goes up ...more

stockarchangel:I can appreciate the profit making potential and flexibility of having low cost shares or options.  But I do not  understand how the ownership of options or low cost shares obviates the need to deliver actual shares to a buyer when shares are sold.  As I understand, if shares sold are backed by options, then, in order to meet regulatory rule, the options must be ...more

AU_NB, as I understand it, shorting is no different rule-wise than going long on margin. You don't have to cover until a certain price threshold is exceeded, either low or high respectively to be called. Also, today is one of those few days I've had to closely follow the trading. It looks like arranged swaps, where selling and buying is matched up by previous agreement. The B/A has been ...more

"It looks like arranged swaps, where selling and buying is matched up by previous agreement."Exactly what I think!  Thank you for posting.  When you see relatively large volume with not much if any price move, this explains it far better than anything else.  Most of the trading on this stock is done this way because it's mostly a small group of people who know ...more
