Core Gold’s Locations - 2d) Dynasty - Celica mine

Within Dynasty, the Celica mine at Cerro Verde began with the Esperanza and Venado pits.  Drilling and sampling continue throughout production, with samples tagged and sent to Core Gold’s laboratory at Portovelo.  The results are immediately transcribed onto the five meter high benches excavated for ore, so as to minimize waste rock.  That has resulted in continuously good head grades in the 3-4 g/t range as delivered to the plant.  The image below depicts an early pit proposal (A. Vera) from an outside source, but the actual pit design of course evolved to follow on-site exploration.

Satellite imagery from Google Earth below depicts the pits as actually developed, including a new area of exploration further down the hill.  Newer satellite imagery is not yet available for the right hand side of the image.
