RE:RE:RE:Hmmmmm ... Titan Minerals Halted in Australia

RE:RE:RE:Hmmmmm ... Titan Minerals Halted in AustraliaSo just to have some sort of conclusion, that my last post never did ...

Unless the TSX has changed their mind and will let Titan have those 20 million shares of Core, or Titan has somehow come up with $84 million cash; whatever Titan comes up with now, it will be to try and  keep their backers from doing whatever it is backers do when they are totally screwed by someone. I did a quick and rough calculation and I came up with a number $12 million that Titan has put into the Vista Mill (and they don't show it but I would bet a fair bit of the ended up in the Titan boys pockets.  The backers might be wondering about that.
So I could see the announcement Titan comes up with as somehow trying to shift the blame for the failed merger, and this  whatever they are trying now, on to the BOD4's shoulders. They were so very obviously part of the first merger attempt, so maybe the Titan boys would think it helpful to blame them.

And a somewhat different guess is that they have abit over $100m in accumulated loses on their books.  I can only assume they are carrying them because they have some value. I think this happens: a company with lots of losses will sell itself to another company that has lots of profits , and the later company will use the loses to save tax.  In Australia the $100m would save $30 million in corporate tax.  So maybe they will be forced to give up by the backers, announce they are giving up, get rid of the Vista Mill and everything Peruvian, sell the Core debt, raise whatever money they can from their Core shares, and then sell Titan to someone for those loses. And see if that is enough that the backers will then just forgive and forget.

All in all, this last speculation seems the most plausible to me.
