Why no $2- $3 price?

Been a sharholder since 2009.  Sold a bit of my holdings when this stock went to $3 plus dollars in 2016.  Can someone please explain to me why this stock has not surpassed $2 for the longest time?  Getting very frustrated.

One could speculate this had a lot to do with price stagnation: From March 16th to June 5th, 2020, Dynacor's ore purchasing operations were put on hold as all ASM activity was prohibited by order of the Peruvian government. I would think most disgruntled shareholders have left their positions by now as this stock has been consolidating since 2017.  Although Q2 will probably meager ...more

The bozos are not true toll processors where they charge a fixed fee per tonne of processed ore. They take risk by buying the ore from the miners based on assumptions of its grade and the grade has been dropping for some time now.

From a US centric perspective 1.) it trades on the OTC, so there are commisions 2.) it trades on the OTC 3.) DNG on the US OTC market has now become a joke 4.) both dividend and stock price in the US are subject to currency conversion risk and foreign tax. 5.) while the stock seems to be disconnected from a rising gold price, it never fails to fall on a falling gold price. 6.) company has gone ...more

A short follow up. I recently bought IVZ @ 7.69. At 7.69 IVZ is paying an 8% forward dividend. IVZ could cut thier dividend in half and the stock fall 50% from its current level and it's still a better investment than DNG ... by orders of magnitude.

Jerry - nice to see you back on this board bashing away as usual - just looked at your posting history - out of your last 40 posts 39 of them have been on DNG and without fail you have something negative to point out so you should be congratulated for being consistent. Do you have some altruistic motive to save us all from investing in this company - probably not. Are you short DNG - could be but ...more

'out of your last 40 posts 39 of them have been on DNG' It's a Candian stock message board, and DNG is the only Canadian stock I own. Used to own NGC but sold it a while back. I'll start to worry when you can point out where I have been wrong. 'some gold exposure in their portfolio' So, if somebody wanted gold exposure in their portfolio DNG would be the stock that you ...more

If you actually own DNG as you just stated why would you consistently come on this board with negative comments?  If someone was to read your posts, if they were swayed by your opinion they would either sell their position or go short.  If you are long this stock which would be the case if you own the stock as you claim, your constant negativity makes no sense.

IVZ is @ 17.4 today. DNG is it 1.79, the same price it was last year at this time. In the meantime gold has gone from 1550 to 1897. DNG still isn't doing more than 300 tons per day, and it's gone from a gold exploration company (hence the name Dynacor Gold Mines) that funded that exploration with a mill, to a milling company that might get back to exploration some day and, oh by the way, ...more

Fair enough. Management has had problems executing on the exploration side. Peru has been going through much politically and economically lately. Covid. Upheaval in the mining industry. Permits have been delayed. Glacial at times. And gold ore output has likely fallen due to Covid. And other companies are processing ore in country. So, increasing competition might be a factor as well. Why we ...more

Here's a tip. Argonaut Gold. The company is actually a miner, and you won't have to read a lot of excuses why their company stock price isn't the same as it was last year in a rising gold market.

That's funny. I held argonaut for quite a while. But sold it and bought bto and Knt. Both have performed admirably.  Now I have more money in silver. I'm a believer. Ggd, Vgld and ccw. All in my portfolio.
