Detailed Exploration Plans in Action: DV Starts '24 Drilling Dolly Varden Silver (Ticker: DV.v or DOLLF for US investors) has officially begun its 2024 Exploration Drill Program at the wholly-owned Kitsault Valley Project. Three drill rigs have been deployed to test exploration targets at the Moose Vein, Chance Vein, and the North Star Deposit step-out, aiming to uncover new mineral deposits and extend the high-grade silver mineralization found during the 2023 drilling season.
The 2024 drilling program includes 25,000 meters of drilling, divided equally between the Kitsault Valley Project's Dolly Varden and Homestake Ridge Properties. The project is focused on the Homestake Silver deposit, the Wolf deposit area, and various exploration targets with significant discovery potential.
Located 1.5 kilometers north of the Wolf vein, the Moose Vein site targets down plunge mineralization beneath mid-valley sedimentary cover rock. The 2023 drilling intersected high-grade silver, including 712 g/t Ag over 1.00 meter within a broader interval of 269 g/t Ag over 7.55 meters.
Positioned within the lower Hazelton Formation, above the Stuhini Formation, the Chance Vein site will test the down plunge projection of a previously identified high-grade silver zone. Previous results included 488 g/t Ag over 26.50 meters, with a notable intersection of 1,044 g/t Ag over 5.60 meters.
Drilling will also focus on step-out drilling to the west of the North Star deposit, part of the current mineral resource estimate. The target area is believed to extend the Torbrit Horizon, a significant silver resource on the Dolly Varden portion of the Project. Previous drilling results included 345 g/t Ag over 7.45 meters and 1,510 g/t Ag over 0.58 meters.
Dolly Varden Silver's commitment to expanding its resource base and discovering new high-grade silver deposits remains strong, and the company is optimistic about the potential contributions of these exploration targets to the advancement of the Kitsault Valley Project.
