I guess it depends on your idea of news. If its just a regurgitation of press releases, and what time the stock opened, and what the 50 day MA is, then I guess its news. But its generated by a computer. And sometimes its SOOOOOO wrong... I've seen lines such as "stock X plunged 1%" at open.. clearly the thesarus didnt work so well.. but these are the tricks of the trade to keep the search engines showing the "content"
