Thank you for bringing it up. When you do the stock exchange, if my memory serves me right you can have the option to rollover the gain or lost. If it is cashing out, i.e. pay you the cash like the Student Transportation, you have to report for the gain/loss for the year. I don't have the reference at my finger tip but I believe there is an option 22 you can instruct the broker or the stock agency to do that. Your accountant may able to give you the latest tax treatment. Please consult them for the latest tax information.
