RE: News Today ..

RE: News Today ..Another soft news announcement... Sale of Windrise project. I understand the company needs to sell some assets to fund expenses while pursuing a sale of the Dokie 1 assets, but, the latest fire sale of assets is troubling. Auction method of disposing of these assets is fetching bottom of the barrel prices... not liking this at all. However, silver lining is maybe they now have enough cash to fund expenses until BC hydro announces PPA awards (or DIP via WestLB). My theory is the Dokie Expansion gets a PPA award and is packaged w/Dokie 1 so the current  bidder gets all of the Dokie assets = 300 MW. With much of the money EF raised in 2007 sunk in infrastructure expenses, the current buyer would be able to leverage the Dokie 1 asset and reduce costs when completing the Dokie Expansion project. You figure we're 90 days away from some sort of PPA announcement... dying to see how this plays out.
