Important Information

I am sure we have all read the recent court documents.
https://www.ey.com/ca/EarthFirst
The creditor stay is extended to Feb 27 2009.
Correct me if I am wrong but they actually only owe about 13 million not 131 million.
The total was for the completion of all the turbines, and at 10% completion they only owe about 10% of the total.
They currently only have 5 turbines up and going and actually on the BC grid making money.
I think I also read that they have 3 potential buyers right now.

Any other opinions to the court documents??

From my perspective this stock is looking to be a bargain.

The report of the Court Monitor in the CCAA proceeding cast a good light that there are serious buyers for Dokie I and the Dokie expansion.  With a development bonus for the expansion and the new buyer taking the benefit of the capital already spent by Earth First, my valuation analysis puts an offer to EF at $50 Million Canadian or 45 cents per share. I agree. It's just a shame they are going to lose almost 100 million dollars from the inital investors. We may actually see a larger than expected buyout, based on the fact that BC Hydro is pushing this green energy so much.

Memo:to:   Windguy1from:  WindyguyWhat is the import of your posting regarding BC Hydro  ??I fail to understand its value.WG

You said that BC Hydro wants green power, when it is the gov't that wants green and BC Hydro is making it difficult with their Clean Power Call rules. The relevance is that the power call is being revised down 40% to 3,000GWhrs. The process of bidding "firm" power into the grid favours run of river and solar. One of BC Hydros' concerns is that only 1 in 3 independent power ...more

Huh !!!!I never said anywhere BC Hydro wants clean power.  I would say BC Hydro wants free power. There is now a two year glut of wind turbines on the market.  This is a remake of the gas IPP marketof the late 90's when buffoons from Wall Street thought that by tying up gas turbines they could controlthe IPP deal flow.  Guess what, only a buffoon from Wall Street or Bay Street ...more
