one reason I bought into EMC cuz I thought 27 million in the kitty was enough to go forward....what are they building the expansion with? Gold? Wish I was the contractor. Doesnt cost that much to put up 4 walls....I thought they said they had good management?

its very expensive to set these companies up...if you thought they have enough money, guess what. THEY DON"T one of the main reasons i wait for these new ones before i jump in... they love to go to market for money...oh well

Welcome aboard 69chevelle.....I missed your post about buying in, but no matter.....good luck.

Yeah, I was kind of wondering when the SP ran up over $4 that day. Makes it easier for PI to sell the placement to their clients at $3.63. Wish now for certain I had found some shares to borrow/short. From a corporate perspective, they are striking when the iron is hot. If someone wants to give you $10 million (bought deal) at 3 times the price of your last financing, which in essence was the ...more

We shall see how tight the hands buying the shares are......

Read the news again. $3.63 is the price of stock warrant not the share price.each warrant's exercise price is $4.75 for the next 36 months. Do the math... Good luck
Comment by broadviewws on Jan 05, 2017 6:34pm
the reason PI agreed to a $3.63 bought deal is because it's a considerable discount to what they determined the market value of the share to be.  It won't drop to anywhere near $3.63...well, unless of course PI is completely off the mark, but they could've easily determined they're getting discount of 5%.

You can expect the share price to fall below deal price of the unit.  CGC and OGI are both below their last equity raise levels.  investors with free trading stock will dump shares and buy the unit deal, these deals have a habit of stalling stock momentum.  By the time the stock absorbs this deal next round of paper comes free trading.  Good luck longs.

Pruneface: I agree with you 100%. It isn't very often that you get to finance a bought deal at 3 Xs your last financing ($1.15).  Take the money and do something good with it. It also gives a vote of confidence to Emblem from the investment community. Yes, the SP will move down to the offer price, but it will only be temporary as Emblem starts to move on its business plan.
Comment by ledrog on Jan 05, 2017 7:51pm
I wouldn't bet on it moving down.....not saying it won't happen, but I don't think its a slam dunk either, not by any stretch.
Comment by PruneFace on Jan 05, 2017 9:09pm
I hope they address (take the money and do something good with it) a real issue which has been mentioned here a few times, that being the cost of Ontario power. Are there viable alternatives to hydro or do you focus the growing op in a province with lower power costs? Moving the grow op means buying/leasing property and building more infrastructure but they were already going to build so that part ...more

Why are they called "Special Warrants"? Isn't this just a financing for $10 million units at $3.63 and for each unit you get 1 common stock, with 1/2 share purchase warrant at $4.75. How are these "Special Warrants" any less dilutive? ....um... there not... right...? Best of luck to all and all IMO
Comment by mike49 on Jan 06, 2017 9:33am
Venman- I assume that the 'special' designation derives from the exchange ratio that changes from 1 warrant to 1 unit on prospectus qualification,or 1 to 1.05 and 4 month hold without. Cheers
Comment by VENMan on Jan 06, 2017 9:23pm
mike49I agree with your post and that's what I thought as well. "Special" designation without the 4 month hold. So this deal will close Jan 26 and after 3 business days (Jan 27, Jan 30, Jan 31) the shares can trade Feb 1 2016. That is a 20% profit on today's closing price or perhaps even higher if the stock continues it's upward trend and then the warrants for half your ...more

Agreed, but I am reading that there is a 4 month hold period hold period.  "Unless the prospectus qualification occurs, securities issued in connection with the offering will be subject to a four-month hold period from the date of issue".
