RE:RE:RE:RE:Finally-new oil law adopted in Dr.CongoIn march when the news about the proposed deal between Energulf and Columbus Copper there was an article that I posted here that said that Robert Giustra/Columbus Group was looking to add an oil explorer to their assets.
Columbus Group at present is made up of three companies:Columbus Gold,Columbus Exploration and Columbus Copper.Columbus Gold earlier wanted to farm in to take over 51% of Columbus Coppers project in Turkey.Columbus Copper sold that property before the deal could take place.
Columbus Exploration is in the process of buying a food company.Gianulis made a statement there
will be oppurtunities for more acqusitions.
Imo if there is a deal with Columbus Copper Energulf will be part of Columbus Group and i think they
would be willing to invest in at least one well in Congo. The cost of one well earlier was 6,5 million$,probably cheaper now.
If there is no deal with Columbus Copper we can only hope they will find some other partner....
anyway the chance is better than when there was no hydrocarbon code in place in dr Congo.
