Patterson Lake - feasibility

I am trying to understand mining logistics for AMW and was hoping someone on this board may enlighten me:

1. AMW is currently drilling holes on a frozen lake towards the land underneath the lake, correct?

2. Given that these drill samples are positive, how are they going to mine all of the ore from the land underneath the lake? Do they only do this during the winter or would they contruct a mine near the lakeshore and dig from the side of the lake towards the deposits.

Most uranium deposits are under lakes actually. Roughrider was/is almost entirely under a lake. Patterson Lake is shallow, maybe 15 feet or so in the area of interest, so it would be a simple open pit with dams on either side.

Tinman an earlier poster talked about drilling from a barge when the ice comes off is that standard practice to keep the drills turning. I understand much of the 8000m going forward will be on the "frozen lake?" I take this to mean they might just go back to the land after breakup of ice? Or do they drill on the water this summer if the source is in fact there? A bit of the cart before ...more

You can barge drill on the lake in the summer, it just costs a little more.
