Ethiopian Potash Announces Management Change

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 7, 2012)

Ethiopian Potash Corp. (the "Company" or "EPC") (TSX VENTURE:FED.V) announces the resignation of David Wahl as President and Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Company effective March 7, 2012. The Company's Board of Directors will be appointing a new Chief Executive Officer and in the interim George Roach will act in that capacity. The Company wishes to thank Mr Wahl for his contribution over the past 18 months.

The Company also announces that it is in on-going negotiations in respect of a proposed private placement with a strategic investor. It is anticipated that if such negotiations are ultimately successful, such investor will acquire a 19.9% interest in the Company, the board of the Company will be restructured, and the option agreement between the Company and G and B Central African Resources Ltd. (GBCAR) will be restructured such that GBCAR will permit an early exercise of the option, in exchange for compensation to be determined.

Strategic investor, new management and re-structured board. Every aspect of this news release is a giant step in the right direction. This company has reached a critical turning point and if the new management and board are competent (opposed to what we've had), these price levels present an unbelievable buying opportunity.

Sometimes it requires a visit to "rock bottom" for management to wake up and smell the coffee. I could not be more pleased with a NR than I am with this one. I'm sure the new shorts are not very happy as their numbers increased to 430k from 43K between Feb 15 and Feb 28. After the news I saw Anony add a big buy to the mkt depth, so I will expect to see some covering tomorrow ...more

Hello Threshold, I agree with you that new management only can do better. Hope they can plan and execute better, and will be managing expectations in a professional manner. I also hope that you're right in your assessment of FED compared with Allana. At the moment FED is very cheap, but untill now there is not so much proof of a deposit that is much better than that of Allana. I know that FED ...more

I Agree Threshold.....You guys should be buying the pizzz outta this...short squeeze and a Tight float Support our management here by buying these shares don`t let them get in the hands of nervous nellies and traders This market cap here is out to lunch If managements listening get the interested party to suck up a ton o more shares before you announce anything and make sure the financings ...more

I am on board too, sure hope that the new investor has a decent Balance Sheet and is Strategic. As soon as #1 Annomous finishes selling this thing will be like a Rocket. I sold all AAA and hold only FED now !!!!!!!
