Worthless shares

If u bought yesterday and today u will not get a capital return, just got email from the company.

What if you SOLD it on the 16th ? Who gets the dividend ? Buyer or seller ? TD webbroker was showing ex-divi date as 16th, and the price of the stock was already reflecting that .   Is it possible for you to post a copy of the letter (the relevant part) ? Thanks.

Stock is ex-div on August 16. Anyone buyers on this day and afterwards aren't entitled to the distribution.

The question really was whether the ex-divi date was 16th or the 17th ? I guess we will know tomorrow.

Ex date definitely the 16th as stated. I sold my shares on the 17, and received my distribution today.
