Global Food Security Concerns Apparently Russia and Ukraine account for 30% of the world's consumption of wheat and barley. Obviously these two countries also supply some of what Belle Pulses produces. But with the war in Ukraine and the sanctions on Russia, the companies that relied on Russia and Ukraine for these products may have to look elsewhere. Which means that demand for what Belle Pulses produces will go up...perhaps very substantially..? I will post a quote from EWG's web-site.............. ........ Belle Pulses may very likely already be in your pantry. Our products are incorporated into many of the products we enjoy every day, from snack foods to meat substitutes. Pulses already provide about 10% of the total dietary protein consumed in the world and are nutrient dense, making them perfectly suited to satisfy the expected 60% increase in demand for protein over the next 30 years. Imagine..what might happen? I wonder
