RE:RE:MEK Naybob Mine

RE:RE:MEK Naybob MineSubject: (US) Short ton, (Brit) long ton and metric ton

- Ton: in the US it means short ton; 1 short ton = 2000 lbs.
- British ton (long ton): = 2040 lbs
- Metric ton (tonne) = 1000kg = 2204 lb (usually people would round this to 2200 in the conversion from kg to lbs, say in the super market (1kg =2.2lbs).

Usually, mining people would use metric ton (tonne) in the measurment for concentration such grams of Au per tonne (or gpt).

To avoid confusion, it would be a good idea to tell people what kind of tons you are using, e.g. "metric ton, or "tonne" (pronounced as "ton...nee").

The difference between 2200 lbs and 2000 lbs (metric ton versus short ton) is 10%. For some 10% is a lot (e.g. 10% of $100M = $10M), but if you are after a 100% gain, then 10% is chum change that could be ignored in the big scheme of thing, lol.

Hope that  would help
