RE: Remembering the past
RE: Remembering the pastEagle-Arc...you had quite the experience in texas gulf as well as the old Jerome mine area...you have the gold bug I hope!...great to hear your work with your partner. Any bits of knowledge I owe to my father and the tiny bit of experience which I absorbed...very limited...only held prospectors licence for 10 years...but grew up in the industry as a result of my father...your old partner likely knew him most everybody in Ontario and Quebec did...he was chief geologist at pickle lake for years then Dr. Keevil Sr brought him to Val d'or to find more gold for him at Lamaque ...and for someone to show and teach his son, Keevil jr..all aspects of the mining operation...After years there finding millions ounces in reserves and the merit award in 64 a few years after that Dr. Keevil brought my dad to north bay to open an office and obviously close to Temagami (Copper) and a gateway to the north. My father spent decades with teck and over 50 years in the exploration for gold....that is how I began panning for gold at pickle lake and endless places at 5 years old...still have the first piece of quartz with gold sticking out....everyone knew him as "Bob". The quiet negotiations behind the scenes are beyond our control...the choices of drill hole #3 and #4 seem to offer potential targets with promise...nothing is certain until the drill core is out as you know. .it is quite easy to see the same shareholders holding the price down in those few jr. companies in the area...all coordinated together...then building up their shareholdings....
