Moving On........

Wolfin, HeyStupid, PhillyJack, myself, and other contributors on this board could all be noted as veteran investors in the mining venture/ exploration sector. As such, we have all developed reliable and credible sources of information we draw upon to assist in our investment decisions. Ive known some of my contacts for 35 years. We knew the Premier of Ontario was going to be in Timmins, and was going to visit the Kidd Mine before any formal announcements were made. Ontarios Mineral Development Strategy 2015 led some of our contacts to other conclusions about the visit to the mine as well. Quoting Premier Wynne, The mining industry is an important pillar of the Ontario economy, said Wynne, who noted that mineral production in the province totaled $10.8 billion last year. Our renewed Mineral Development Strategy confirms our commitment to attracting new investment and support innovation in mining exploration and development. We are working to position Ontario over the next decade as the global leader in sustainable mineral development. With bold statements like that, I can understand how one can jump to such conclusions. Regardless of what was not said by the Premier, or the Mines Manager during her visit, at least not publicly, Ive heard work continues at Kidd in reaching a newly found volcanogenic massive sulphide deposit. As suggested dating back to February, Im hearing EXS/EXSFF will move a deep drilling rig onto property adjacent to the Kidd Mine, in an effort to find the top of this new, alleged deposit. Apparently, this should take place before the end of the month. As one of the presenters at the Big Event Canadian Mining Expo in Timmins, Chris Dupont will have the opportunity June 2nd to present Explor Resources to the Northern Ontario Angels. Imagine him bringing freshly drilled core from Kidd to the presentation? Quoting Timmins Press.com The forum is the result of a partnership with the Northern Ontario Angels, which is a group originally started in Thunder Bay to promote investment opportunities in Northern Ontario to potential investors. Steve Kidd, the organizations Timmins board member, said they maintain a network of more than 350 venture capitalists from the region and as far away as the United States who are willing to invest in projects banks may not be willing to touch. The format they use for their investors is the same as Dragons Den, (the popular TV series) where businesses make a short pitch in the form of a presentation. We video tape it and distribute it to some of our investors into the crowd because they want to remain anonymous, explained Kidd, who said the videos were sent throughout their network. Interesting coincidencethe guys name Apparently, drilling at Ogden is completed, and core sent to the lab for analysis. Im hoping for partial results, but Dupont may wait for all the results to afford a better understanding of underlying geology within the triangle formed by the three sets of twin cores, set 150meters apart, with points 2000meters south, then 2000meters east. Im hearing that Teck wants to meet with Explors Directors to discuss strategy moving forward at the TPW. In view of that, I would think that the Directors review of the materials provided by Teck at the end of April, would be accelerated. Im as anxious as all of you to finally get a formal NR out on this. I think that could take place very shortly. Nice to see some new folks adding their thoughts to the board.

GWT, nobody knows more about the Kidd Creek Mine than the Glencore geologists and the KC mine manager. If this alleged new deposit does exist, and is being drilled horizontally and deep underground by Glencore to determine its size and content, I would think that they might be open to sharing some information with Chris Dupont. If the new deposit extends onto one or more of the EXS claims, then ...more

Thanks, Wolfin. Makes no sense to me for EXS to drill its KC claims without first approaching Glencore and agreeing to share data. What Glencore knows can help to pinpoint EXS drills. And what EXS turns up can help Glencore add to its geologic database for its drilling on their side of the property line. Have to admit that if mineralization extends onto EXS claims, Glencore with all its ...more

While I appreciate the concern about burning through cash on Kidd Creek exploration the fact is Glencore has not made any approaches to EXS and we need a higher share price to conduct more exploration on Ogden and TPW...surely exploration at TPW will not be limited to the measly $1.5MM Teck commitment.

Sask, no law against EXS approaching Glencore . . . just a suggestion. CD can still drill KC even if Glencore blows him off. The timetable on TPW is the timetable, unless Teck chooses to accelerate the program. The Catch 22 situation on Ogden is that you say we need a higher share price to conduct more exploration, but we really need solid results out of Ogden to get that higher share price ...more

PJ, as I see it EXS needs to expend a significant amount of cash to move Ogden and TPW along. I want that cash raised at a higher share price and the only way that will happen is from positive drill results on one or more of our properties. If I'm not mistaken I thought I read that Teck need only spend $1.5MM on TPW in the next year. That doesn't work for me personally (we all have ...more

Sask, EXS has pretty much tripled from its recent bottom . . . it's just that it hasn't felt that way over the past several weeks as we have leveled off and dipped below recent highs, pending news. Teck could advance TPW more aggressively, agreed. It has minimum requirements to make its JV commitments. They can certainly spend more than the minimum, no problem. But right now, EXS needs to ...more

As far as future exploration dollars go my priorities are as follows: 1. drill one hole at Kidd to see what, if anything we have there. 2. once Ogden results are back continue with the drill program there. 3. If Teck does not appear likely to spend more than its minimum commitment at TPW in the coming year, then drill there as well. I seem to recall a comment that Teck did not seek CD's ...more

Sask, I thought the ICBC deal for buying London vaults was quite eye opening . . . we are in complete agreement about the price of gold one day being reset. The financial world as we know it will be changing, and rapidly. On TPW, Teck is the operator. So long as they are fulfilling their end of the bargain they are technically in charge of managing exploration and drilling on the property. EXS ...more

I don't think anyone expects EXS to plunk drills on KC and just start drilling without giving themselves the best chance to succeed. It makes perfect sense for EXS to approach Glencore and try to establish some form of working relationship. What some of us may be saying is that EXS should begin this process sooner than later as it may take some time should Glencore be interested. Explor is ...more
