STOCKHOLM -(Dow Jones)- quote
Frontrunners for taking over Volvo, according to media reports, are China's Geely Holding Group Co. and Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co., as well as a group of investors based in Europe.
Gardiner declined to comment on a report Thursday in Sweden's business daily Dagens Industri that Ford is seeking a Swedish investor to take a minority stake in Volvo because that could boost support for the deal in Sweden, where Volvo is based.
