RE: RE: FAZ and US Dollar

RE: RE: FAZ and US DollarAgree, the USD will rocket up when the mkt crashes.  As bad as the longer term fundamentals are for the USD, in the near term it has a long way to rise.  Remember, the freshly printed money has not made it's way into circulation, therefore no inflation at this time.  That is years away still.  For now it's deflation.

The USD is much safer than the CDN$.  As above the USD is a safe haven when things get rough.  Also, commodites should get hit very hard during this crash.  That will drop the CDN very fast.  I'd much rather be in USD.  I hear a lot of people stating that Canada has avoided the collapse of other Western countries and has a safe banking system and rock solid real estate.  This is a red flag to me.  Canada will get hit extremely hard during the next few years imo.  When commodities drop there will be serious problems.

I would not go anywhere near gold either.  It will drop with the mkts imo.  It won't come down as far though, and there will be a good spot to accumulate it lower.  We are not yet at the point of major currency crisis and collapse.  That time will come in due course, and when it does gold will be an attractive place to be.
