This is not about Kirk. He is no one, and really not of consequence to anyone. It isn't about loyalty to the newspaper and its readers, either. This is only about the employer fulfilling his obligations to staff under the very clear laws we've established in Ontario. You shouldn't need to initiate a lawsuit to collect wages and benefits (including obligatory vacation time) owed. Just start ASAP by calling this fellow:

I'm wondering how your union is representing you in this most fundamental of matters. What is the point of being unionized if your local can't intervene on something as basic as what you've described?
