“We’re not a little voice playing games”

So, it's goombye, arsehole, to Mr. Brain Knish and it's howdy, podner to our friend "Man Overboard," the new front man for this posse. Oh, what fun we're going to have with Man Overboard, who says he made a few bucks in the butter-and-egg trade and now thinks he can figure out how to ride a dead horse anywhere. I especially enjoyed his crack about how he's never failed at anything. That is always a sign of what the great writers call "foreshadowing." Or, in investment terms, don't put your money on an overconfident naive clown with no background in or understanding of the business he just entered.

From NOW Toronto:

Toronto-area businessmen Manos Pavlakis and David Daniels and securities and corporate lawyer Jay Vieira replaced four incumbent directors, including Kalish, on November 19.

Speaking on behalf of the new board, Pavlakis said he and the other directors look forward to an online town-hall meeting with staff. That’s where they plan to field the staff’s questions and outline their vision for the future.

“What we have to say isn’t rocket science,” Pavlakis said. “It’s teamwork. It’s innovation. It’s bringing in new products...

“We’re not a little voice playing games,” Pavlakis declared. “There isn’t an investment yet that we didn’t have success on.”

So what did you want? You wanted the status quo and no changes to the board? The guys who drove this down from 15 cents to 1/2 cent are all out. At least these guys have lots of skin in the game. They are the ones who backed most the original RTO from Intelequity at much much higher prices than today. They;ll develop a plan and hopefully move it forward and raise money. I have confidence we are at ...more

Right on you are, at the bottom and unfortunately staying there as there's no way out/up.
Comment by McRambus on Nov 29, 2020 1:23pm
Explain why? Other than being negative tell me why is a new board being set up of original shareholders who own over 60 million shares? Do you somehow think they will intentionally fail? I understand the frustration if you're a shareholder but these guys have major skin in the game and will make sure this doesn't fail. Anything is better than the status quo.

It doesn't sound like you know how to accept reality. Wait until Monday after market close, I guess is when they'll file q3 results, in this case aka "death certificate", rather than listening to or relying on anyone else's opinion. So one more day and then the dream is over.
Comment by McRambus on Nov 29, 2020 6:43pm
Yes I think we all know the financials are terrible. Don't you think it's reflected in the stock price already? It's 1/2 cent basically an option on survival. Stop looking at the past. There is a new direction coming and I doubt it will be media. It could be fintech or could be sports wagering through their websites with the government about to legalize online wagering. Point is a ...more

It's a good thing I'm bored today. Have time. What you fail to appreciate is that not only financials are terrible, but the company is somewhere $3 to $4M in debt overall and that's on top of all the millions in equity that's evaporated. So to further rationalize and make sense of this mess of a company one would need to be sure on being able to a) stop losing cash, probably at ...more

Looks like Mr. Reality Czech's sound advice is being followed. No buyers lined up so far this morning at pre-open, even at the haepenny level. But just have a peek at all the suckers trying to bail out.  Level ll Quote   Bid   Ask   Price   Total Size   # of Orders   ...more

That is a ridiculous post. Posting the orderbook from 7am when the market is closed and everyone is asleep is meaningless You could have checked 3 minutes later and millions of shares could suddenly appear on the BID. As long as the stock is listed there is always a buyer, if there is no buyer the market maker becomes the buyer. Same goes for sellers. I'm stunned you don't even know this ...more

Stunned is precisely the word, my friend.

And here, for the "stunned" McRambus is the updated mid-morning order book. Last: 0.005   Change: 0.000   Volume: 10,100   Last Trade: 10:41     Level ll Quote   Bid ...more

Seriously, do us all a favour and stop posting your rubbish orderbook. Either you're deliberatly blanking it out or it's just plain wrong and isn't showing you the orders. Who bought the 5 million shares at the bid at 11:52-11:53am if your orderbook is blank??? Phanton buying? lmao. Answer that question. I now see another 510,000. This looks like it's the previous board and CEO ...more

Has anyone seen q3 filings yet. They were supposed to be filed by the end of November. If not and I haven't seen any press releases about any filings delays the question is where are they.
Comment by angel2020 on Dec 02, 2020 12:57pm
Due to the change of control the Financials have been delayed and should be out by end of the week.
Comment by Stockpics on Dec 02, 2020 2:41pm
Financials and MD&A are already out. I just checked out on Sedar
Comment by Reallitycheck on Dec 02, 2020 2:47pm
Well well well. The Death Certificate is finally out. Lost over a $1M again. Converted some debt into equity and at 7c a share no less. How crazy is that.  Revenue increased by only about $70K in the entire quarter but expenses increased even more. Granted Management was getting paid very handsomely but even after getting rid of them, the hole (loss) is still huge, $500K per quarter. As per ...more

Another brilliant post. The fianncials are dire!! What a surprise. The stock is half a cent. What were you expecting, a profit and healthy financials?
Comment by Reallitycheck on Dec 02, 2020 3:01pm
No. Just confirming a reality that contrary to many posts suggesting this dead horse is somehow going to rise from the dead was/is totally misguided. Dead. Dead. Dead.
Comment by Stockpics on Dec 02, 2020 3:59pm
Old Mgt just left , results you see are for Q3 ending Sept include paying out Old Mgt it is not as bad as I thought and with new Board and Mgt we will see better financing and better revenue an better days, we have reached the bottom.
Comment by Reallitycheck on Dec 02, 2020 5:04pm
No you haven't just reached bottom, you're already 6 feet under. Having just lost over $1M in q3 and probably at least $750K in q4 and going into 2021 with a Working Capital Deficit of close to $2M plus other Debt, and guaranteed to lose at least another $500K in q1 2021, never mind beyond no matter how much cash if any they raise, you should quickly change your moniker to MushroomPics to ...more

I like a bargain stock as much as the next guy, but this is no bargain at any price, considering the sector, the business model, the operating history, the continuing threat of the pandemic and its consequences for this particular market, and the current prospects for alt-weeklies in other worldwide markets. The new directors made their money running businesses in prosaic areas, running dry ...more
