Why was the Cat Lake section cut out from the interview?

I noticed the recent Crux Investor interview cut out that section about Cat Lake and the issue with the road? I really don't get why they did this (again') because I think that was a good move from Dan to finally address this issue openly in an interview to investors. It's not like there was anything new about it since the issue, as I have been saying earlier, is more or less about Cat Lake wanting to get an all season road to their site and them wanting to have a say in the EA process. I think Dan adressed the issue very well, so this is a bad move on their part to take it out from the interview.

I'm still confident as ever that this will get resolved in the end because the economics of this project are simply massive for the entire region. Everyone will benefit from this. Also, does not seem to be bothering Keith at all since he is still buying every month. But I still don't like it when they cut out those parts about Cat Lake because I think it sends the wrong message to investors.

Of course, there might be some legal issues (non disclosure agreements) about discussing this openly, I don't know, but still this is not a good way to communicate to investors.

Just to add: Of course, this might be a decision from Crux investor to cut it out and might have nothing to do with Dan or First Mining. I get Crux investor is of course trying to promote this stock so they might think it's better to cut those "controversial" sections out. My opinion is that honesty is always the best policy, so still a bad move either way. This information is of ...more

It is odd. I'm glad I saw it before they edited it out. If First Mining is trying to maintain a relatively neutral, facilitative position in terms of collaboration with the people of Cat Lake and the provincial government, I can see them wanting to be extra careful to not make it seem like they are biased in any way, even slightly, and so best to just not talk about it in hindsight, therefore ...more

This is a good poiint!  Now that I'm thinking about it it makes quite a bit of sense to not make it look like they are trying to "spin a story" about it or something similar. I get it is a sensitive issue so people get emptional etc. even when in reality I think this whole thing is completely misunderstood by investors. I guess any serious investor will call the company & ...more

Yes, and in another video on YouTube I did see someone commenting who claimed to be from Cat Lake and their comment very much aligned with the sentiment that the Ontario government is simply not giving the community enough time to assess things. For the non-Canadians on this board, the Ontario premier is a former business man turned politician who can be low on patience at times, wants progress ...more

Yup, I actually tried to contact Cat Lake myself but have not been successful. I look at all of this in a very simple way. The government needs and wants the tax dollars and jobs this project will create, they are basically already on board. Cat Lake really wants (among other things) an all year round road and the only way this can realistically be built is if Springpole gets developed. Cat Lake - ...more

masah ... commenting as to ongoing issues between mining companies and the indigenous tribes living on the land can be tricky, as no doubt, even statements on message boards find their way to the two parties at issue. (especially the tribes!) Public comments and opinions that "speak for" the communities should be avoided, even if the comments are spot on. This message board has been ...more
