Lac Fortune is on the Galloway Claims.
Portion of Lake.
Here's an historical account of the Fortune shafts
and gold mining back in the day.
https://gq.mines.gouv.qc.ca/documents/EXAMINE/GM37400/GM37400.pdf Pages 51 - 52 Document the gold values with - intercepts.
Why do i find this report fascinating ?
It documents the - carbonate gold - syenite carbonate gold .
It also mentions - carbonate zones - seems to be with several lenses.
I also read it as...
They hit a consistent lense of - carbonates.
If one analyzes the drill core data on these two pages,
one will see there's a good 100 ft - pancake lense.
I also got the hint... quartz veins was what most wanted.
lol
Too funny... i have rerad so many reports...
and it always makes me laugh reading how they all want the
quartz vein gold... when... gold is found in all sorts of ores.
Major flaw back in the day... One starts it.. rest follow.
I'll take carbonate gold any day... wink.
Galloway Hendricks has a carbonate intercdpt
in the vicinity of - 1000 ft .
Example of oz's to grams ( reference ) .13 oz = 3.68 grams / tonne
.15 oz = 4.25 grams / tonne
Uh... that's really good grams...
So what did i do ?
I read up on a few of the gold mines east of Galloway...
And worked my way back to Galloway right into - Lac Fortune.
I made a few changes to my - work in progress map -
I added a - hypothetical - fault line - coming in from
Lac Fortune into - Galloway.
Yes.. hypothetical...
But... i feel this area does lend the notion of,
missed fault line -
How do i figure ?
Cadillac is seen at lowest portion of, image...
And... a new fault running thorugh the Fortune lake and
Sanies Lake into Galloway.
It's a thought.. .something to ponder.
Reinforcement ?
Not inconcievable to have two faults...
One on either side of each other with all those red
and pink hot spots in between the two faults...
Yeah.. .that kind of - reinforcement.
Lac Fortune - far right side of image -
Portion resides on Galloway Claims.
Good to map the area out.
Researching other mines - get ot know the area.
Note - this is my own rendition of how i see the
Galloway Claims...
Not investment advice.
Others may see the lay of the land differently.
The key takeaway here is...
There's a distinct gold carbonate trend...
I feel has a larger imprint in this region.
May have missed - by former miners...
The trick... connect the trends...
Build upon each... so it tells a story.
Hopefully - a large carbonate trend - kind of story.
How could two faults form aside each other ?
I would say...
Perhaps the - cadapine fault - acts as a relief joint.
Same in concrete construction - relief joints are cut to
releive stress... so the concrete doesn't fracture.
Cadapine - relief joint...
And... if presure built up on the original Cadillac,
the ground would fnd another weak spot to relieve the
stress - hence - double fault system side by side.
