Huge News

Just revceived an email from Danny. This is going to fly like LDS albeit it may take a bit longer. Check out who TLK has brought on board now- Tom Rogers. 2016-10-03 10:01 ET - News Release Mr. Steve Chung reports FRANKLY APPOINTS MEDIA TITAN TOM ROGERS AND VETERAN FINANCIAL EXPERT STEVE ZENZ TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS Frankly Inc. has appointed Tom Rogers and Steve Zenz to the board of directors. The appointment will be effective immediately, and follows the resignation of former director Jung Woo Sung. With these changes, Frankly's board now expands to two independent directors and three inside directors as defined by the TSX Venture Exchange. Rogers is Executive Chairman of WinView, Inc. Operating at the intersection of TV sports, social media, gaming and mobility, WinView is becoming the leading player providing games in which viewers can engage while watching live TV sports. Between 2005 and 2016, when the company was sold, Rogers was CEO and Chairman of TiVo, which changed TV viewing behavior forever. Under his leadership, TiVo was transformed from a pure-play digital video recorder (DVR) provider to a leader in next-generation TV solutions for cable operators worldwide. As President of NBC Cable, and Executive Vice President of NBC, as well as, NBC's Chief Strategist, he founded CNBC, which changed the face of business news, and established the NBC/Microsoft channel and Internet venture, MSNBC. Rogers also served as co-chairman of the Arts and Entertainment and History channels, and was responsible for overseeing many other well-known cable channels, including Bravo, AMC, and the National Geographic Channel. He was Chairman and CEO of Primedia, owner of New York Magazine and many other media properties. Rogers served as Senior Counsel to the House of Representatives Telecommunications Subcommittee. He was inducted into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame, the Cable Hall of Fame, and has received Emmy Awards for his contributions to the development of advanced television. Rogers received a B.A. in government from Wesleyan University and a J.D. from Columbia Law School. Zenz is an experienced corporate consultant, advising companies on a range of matters, including merger and acquisition transactions and SEC offerings and filings. For more than three decades, he worked at KPMG, where he served in various leadership capacities, including partner-in-charge of the audit group and partner-in-charge of the firm's SEC and technical accounting practices for select KPMG offices. Zenz also served as the lead audit partner for publicly held companies. Zenz currently serves on the board of directors of both public and private companies. These include: Insignia Systems (NASDAQ: ISIG), a developer of in-store products, programs, and services to retailers and consumer packaged goods manufacturers; Redbrick Health, a venture-backed private health technology company; and several other privately-held emerging companies. Zenz received a B.A. in accounting, as well as a Master of Business Taxation degree, from the University of Minnesota. "On behalf of the board and staff at Frankly, I would like to welcome both Tom and Steve to our organization," said company CEO, Steve Chung. "We're excited to have such high-caliber and well-respected industry leaders involved in our strategic decision-making, and to leverage their decades of experience in areas and roles that can help shape our next stage of growth." Rogers commented: "Frankly is truly in a unique position to profit from the massive challenges faced by traditional media today, including cord-cutting, connected devices, and increasingly complex platforms to manage and engage disparate audiences. Working with both traditional and new media companies for years has given me an appreciation for Frankly's multi-media platform, which helps customers provide digital content to a multitude of new devices which, in particular, makes local broadcast news and information more compelling for both viewers and advertisers. I'm incredibly excited to be a part of the company's future development and to provide my unique insights to help the company scale." Zenz added: "In such a relatively short period of time, Frankly has been able to secure a burgeoning customer base in serious need of its multi-screen, digital platform solutions. Despite this significant growth, the company still has a lot of room to expand, with numerous opportunities ahead of it. I'm eager to share my financial know-how and corporate governance experience to help the organization continue its success in existing markets, while establishing the foundation for pursuing newer ones."
