Are you what is called a strategic investor or a momentum flipper? If the latter, I understand. If the former, what has changed such that you no longer have confidence in the future of GAGE?
Comment by AnalogueMan on Apr 10, 2021 12:24pm
Hi JBN26; BOTH .......... failure at both it would appear. Plan was to hold for realization of GAGE's "plan" by end of year. Was not prepared for GAGE to drop on listing. And gun-shy after taking a loss on NIO ... So, I'm watching, waiting for a chance to get back into GAGE.

Check out the info of the first poster who presents the trades of the first hour of trading. What happened? Huge damand from all of the Linton promotion. It was really talked up, including a media celeb wearing a hat with GAGE on it. So many bought in the first hour...but of course shares were sold by? Check the first post: 01 Anonymous sold a net of 992000 shares in the first hour. Ask ...more

Sounds like a bit of pump and dump.  I think there is a story here, but right now it's less about investment metrics and more about momentum, so I'm still willing to wait and see.

a very amateur commment imo. Not very substantiated for a number of reasons 1- Founders own half the Company. Been working on it for 10 years. Locked up. How could this be a pump a dump? Add the strategic investors and the overall insider ownerhsip is over 70% 2- There's no volume post direct list, so no pumping happening. In reality, there could be one seller creating all the downside ...more

There were alot of hedge funds who participated in the private financings. Some of these guys will undoubtely sell at any price. Which it appears they are doing. They are the ones sophisticated enough to do via Anonymous. No doubt pressure selling happening in what is a weak tape on growth /cannabis/mommentum names. Hopefully we recover. i could see 2.00-2.20 very easily and hopefully the buyers ...more

Styless: why would the buyers emerge now when the buyers have already listened to the promoters and bought in on day one? Did they not listen to the prophet of Canopy, TRIP and now GAGE?  What happened in all of those cases? The promoters made money...did the investors that read Stockhouse benefit as well or were and are they the suckers?
Comment by Styless on Apr 21, 2021 12:53pm
well buyers shoudl emerge now because this company is relatively unknown and that can always change my friend ;) This company trades at ~1-1.5x forward sales. Comps trade easily at 3-5x. If you do the math, that's significant upside. I think this Company is less of a show me story than some of the others. They have an established brand, they have leading market share in Michigan, they have 7 ...more

Styless: Thanks for the info. That is a good sign to see such insider ownership. Any idea how much the pumpers, that is the promoters, were paid to launch this company in shares and dollars? Was it the promoter that was perhaps blowing out the million shares in the first hour of the company's trading on the market?
Comment by Bendune on Apr 21, 2021 5:23pm
Of course the cons blew their penny shares out at 3 plus dollars. They then put a short trade in down to .....? Time will tell.
Comment by Styless on Apr 22, 2021 1:07pm
it's interesting. All the stock selling is coming from "Anonymous Broker".  It's a sophisticated fund who must be selling. It's very frustrating, i don't disagree
Comment by JackBNimble26 on Apr 22, 2021 1:20pm
Thanks. Was the promoter Linton paid in shares? Perhaps he or someone else was the one blowing out the shares at the opening of trading. Certainly not a strategic move given that the stock fell. Usually the underwriter will support the stock to help stabilize it or it begs the question why such an inflated price was chosen in the first place...unless the goal was to hype it up for the Stockhouse ...more

A couple false statements here. 1 - ALL insiders and management were locked up. Not possible for Linton to sell beyond the immediately available non restricted shares which was only 10% of total holdings 2- Linton was not awared any shares. Only warrants. The warrants are not deeply in the money, so highly doubt he exercised shares to lose money. So, also not possible. His position would also be ...more

if i had to guess, a couple of early funds who want to get out at any price and maybe some extended family memebrs who funded the founders with really cheap paper years ago are taking a chance to monetize their position. I also don 't think it helps the entire sector has retraced 20-30% since the Company went public. An OTC listing and some ETF buying might come in which could really help ...more

Hmmm ?   Looks like falling price since ~3M+ volume on first day of trading folowed by ~1M+ volume on second day has slowed and (maybe) starting to turn around ??? Certainly an interesting story ...
Comment by Styless on Apr 26, 2021 4:09pm
yeah. anonymous broker continues to sell relentlessly. i think its an early fund getting out
Comment by Styless on Apr 22, 2021 1:06pm
that information is tough to determine. Only the insiders know  The pumpers bought into the Reg-A financing at an equivalent 2.20 CAD ($1.75 USD). I doubt they would sell at this price and juncture. Wouldn't be surprised if the promotional team signed an engagement term putting some duration on their stock.  I heard they purchased their stock (not given it for free) and they are ...more

Since you have had pre IPO experience with GAGE, what was the enterprise value of GAGE per share before the IPO? In other words was its market cap the equivalent of $2.00 per share before legal, investment banking and promotion fees were baked into the IPO price? Lower or higher?
Comment by Styless on Apr 12, 2021 12:51pm
do some homework There was no IPO here. this was a direct list. There were no i-bankers ever involved in this name. In reality, the firm they used for REG-A charged nothing. sub 2% i believe. it was a gift.
