MAE has the ore and ANX has the mill is a good summary of the rationale as I understood it.

I was struck by the offer which was so many shares for so many shares. That part made sense.

But it was explained as a 20dma or something like that of the stock price - as though that was meaningful. The market could have been biased to optimism or pessimism or worse. I thought they should have made a case based on the underlying value of the two businesses.

Maybe I am wrong. I didn't follow it super closely.
