Bid 3.5 cents

It is amazing to see people still bullish on this company. I’m still not sure how they grow their way out of the debt.  Their quarterly burn will kill them long before that.

I went through the same thing 2 weeks ago with another company ,where the bashers were saying the company was going broke and then money came from 3 deals , which put lots of cash in the bank. Novocarbon can do the same. If they were going broke it would have happened a long time ago.

agreed. I don't think they would have bought 6 crucibles "just because". This is looking like a shaking of the tree to catch some weak hands before something big drops

Did someone say they're running out of money? - They're getting money for the Lochaber.  First payment came in.   - One of their partners, CHASM, got 11 million dollars.  Yes it's not their money but it would help them in any of their shared expenses. - They will do a PP, they have to, but probably after they have a good NR. The problem is less the money and more ...more

Exactly today, why did they buy 6 crucibles ? To prepare for the deals that are happening , 3 that I can think of . Each crucible will be dedicated to a specific grade of graphite, therefore eliminating the chance of cross contamination. This says there are more than 1 customers. Possibly 1 customer with multiple grades ? Whatever ! This is a positive step that took valuable cash from the piggy ...more

2 million line of credit 450000. Lochbar  plus the customers they are servicing with product ,time to worry when Paul ferguson dad starts unloading his boat full of shares ,or the insiders that paid for there own shares out of pocket ,dilution at this point with pp would not go well for any of us ,I’m sure it’s been well thought about .

Forgot one plus 2million debenture financing to feed off .and they charge cost price for samples pretty sure they have not recklessly burned  through all of that money .
Comment by Aidan001 on Oct 16, 2018 8:03pm
They haven’t received money for lochabar according to the latest interim financials - page 10 “To date, the Company has not received first installment payment payable under the agreement. “

Ugh.  SJL is such a joke.  Hopefully they get their act together, they did a recent PP so they should.
Comment by Luckierjack on Oct 16, 2018 10:33pm
SJL only raised about $400,000. Good luck with paying for the property.

SJL hasn't paid according to the latest financials: Payment of $425,000 cash payable in four yearly installments of $106,250 with the first payment due on May 7, 2018 and the following three installments on May 7, 2019, May 7, 2020 and May 7, 2021. Rechner said the first payment was recieved, Orson said it was not. Orson said a shareholder advanced/ loaned Novocarbon $686,000 for working capital with no interest, due on demand, with no fixed terms of repayment. Who ever this shareholder is , one thing is for sure he must have insider information to give him confidence in Novocarbon's future. I guess we should be grateful to OGL for ...more

Knowing SJL, I wouldn't be surprised if the payment was not received.  Orson knows a little too much insider information, that's why I blocked him.  And sometimes his inside information ends up being wrong but I do believe the loan took place.  If they get any of the deals going through, it would be worth it.
Comment by SimplyRunRig on Oct 18, 2018 4:11pm
The Oct. 1 MD&A stated that the first payment had not yet been recieved. You can check SEDAR: https://www.sedar.com/DisplayCompanyDocuments.do?lang=EN&issuerNo=00023049
Comment by OrsonModesto on Oct 18, 2018 4:14pm
I know too much is I was blocked? Huh. I always thought it was just because I got really pissy towards the company at the end of last year, and vented some frustrations on this board. I have admitted that before. But any one can cheek my post history and see, for the most part, I have been a solid supporter of this company. I have spent a considerable amount of time (and money) paying close ...more

Yup, you’re right, don’t get why Floridas blocked you. Maybe he blocked people bringing too much negativy on this board last year when the company was still chaning his business.
Comment by Floridas2000 on Oct 18, 2018 4:54pm
I am not married to this company.  I have other companies who I have invested more in.  Knowing personal loans made is insider information.  I would argue about you knowing too much because you're been proven wrong many times so that is not what I said and it's a stupid argument to make.  Why block someone who knows too much??? Anyways, someone told me to be wary of ...more

Again, there’s no insider information concerning the private loan. It’s well written in the financial statements + MD-A.
Comment by SimplyRunRig on Oct 18, 2018 5:06pm
That is also in the Oct. 1 Financials and in the MD&A. Check SEDAR.
Comment by Luckierjack on Oct 18, 2018 4:57pm
Hey guys.   Orson doesn’t know any inside information, but he does have the brains to read the financials. The information is right there on page 10 note 5.  Posted on October 1, 2019. Does anyone read the financial statements or do you all just sit in from of your computers cheering the price going down so you can buy more shares cheaper? Averaging up is way more fun than averaging ...more
