Great Video.  I'm suprised they did not focus more on the automotive applications/implications that Graphene discoveries will lead to.  The obvious go to assumption is the battery components, but you can quickly infer the potential magic that will occur to every component and stage of manufacturing.  The focus is fuel economy and safety.  In the past, generally speaking ...more

Prez Trump just slapped 10% on the rest of China imports. Should have been 25% , and 3 months ago. This will speed-up the rare earth business. China is threatening to quit exporting REE's & HREE's. You need to go back to school. Basic economics 101. Tariffs hurt the USA, not China. Costs are passed to the public who buy the commodity, not the exporters. Mining costs double, thus creating an end product made in the USA more expensive than importing. Purchasing the end product has all that tariff costs added in. The cost to developers increases exponentially, thus creating a big hurdle to make ...more

Yes and no.  It does raise the price of asian imports for those products that have a tariff on it.  In that way it hurts the American consumer because they have to pay more for that product.  However it encourages manufacturers / consumers to buy Americain because it's cheaper than Asia.  So Asian products will sell less in one of the biggest consumer markets in the world.& ...more
