RE:why are people selling??
RE:why are people selling??I thought over this question. Why would anyone sell it below the price when binding agreement says $26.50. Here are the reasons:
1. They need to book gains against tax losses during the December month.
2. They bought it very cheap during early years and are contented with gain. I know of a collegue whoes average price is 95 cents and sold it to book gain during this year.
3. If person needs gains this year he may sell it in December, if he needs it next year he may sell it next year. Everybody's situation is different. Volume has dropped considerably. If you see it suddenly going up there could be two reasons. Either company got another higher offer or competition bereau has cleared the deal.
4. Person is in need of cash to buy other shares or cover the margin or resource shares such as Gold or Oil companies.
5. No patience just day trader wanting to book quick gains, no long term players.
6. As per Warren Buffet theory if you are invested in good companies paying regular dividends sit back and relax. Watch trees shading loose leaves during windy season. It will bear strong fruits.
