Antimony

Antimony is ranked as number 3 of the most critical resources for the EU, its economic importance is greater than the one of Niobium and the supply risk too. With about 23k t Sb Global Minerals is owner of one of the larger ressources out there (number 5 or 6 world wide) and could be the only producer within the EU in a short time.

To cut a long story short: Silver is very nice but Antimony is even nicer. Germany so far guaranteed loans for Tungsten an Niobium projects outside the EU. I shouldn't wonder if it would possible to receive such a guarantee for ramping up the first and only Antimony mine within the EU.

hazardpay Much as I would like to agree with you (as I am a long suffering shareholder), I think the chances of raising debt right now are zero. Also, for the moment at least, your points about Antimony are not relevant. The preliminary PEA does not plan to produce antimony. Furthermore, it makes clear that at current silver price levels the company is not going to be profitabable. The key value ...more

Nostril, I know the PEA. And I do think, management has made a major mistake by excluding the Antimony. But for me this mistake seems like a chance for making some profit..Taking a look at the last financings, the assets, the management as well as the market sentiment and the recent discussions on critical minerals as well as on silver I believe that it will be possible to turn the ship around. They also need to deal with the Antimoy issue to become more profitable. From the PEA: "For the Strieborná calcine product, these terms result in a penalty of $1,103/dmt, with $1,004 of that being the antimony penalty. With over $1,000/t in penalties predicted for antimony alone, the importance of antimony removal steps in the Strieborná metallurgical flowsheet are readily apparent ...more
