...why GORO spun off its profitable, operating Nevada mine less than a year ago, only to now propose to buy Aquia Resources, Inc., which has spent more than $100 million on a proposed Michigan mine that has no permits or project plan, just 20 years worth of drill holes?

Further to my question: GORO says Aquila is a good play because GORO’s stock value would increaseif it is re-rated “from a one-mine company to a two-mine company with jurisdictional diversification.” Isn't that exactly the position it was in before it spun off the Nevada operation?
