Press Release #11 - 2003 RENO, NV, November 17, 2003 -

"Phase 1 gold and silver recovery began after the Company filed its $2.7 million reclamation bond in late July. The amount of gold and silver dore recovered since Phase 1 began is 618 ounces. The Company has resolved the issues relating to the restart of its gold leaching, and gold recovery is accelerating at a pace that is projected to achieve the Company's 1,000 ounces production per month."

GOLDEN PHOENIX MINERALS ANNOUNCES DELIVERY OF KEY MINING EQUIPMENT AT MINERAL RIDGE; DRILLING PROGRAM UNDERWAY
PR #01-04 RENO, NV, January 13, 2004

"In December, the Company recovered 384.4 troy ounces of gold and 374.5 troy ounces of silver from the leach pad at Mineral Ridge. Part of this gold recovery came from run-of-mine ore put on the pad from ore stockpiles and broken ore mined from the pits. Since September 2003, when gold was recovered at the start of the Phase 1 operations, gold and silver recoveries have increased at a 100 percent rate month after month. “Although this is still a modest recovery level, we are very pleased by the trend, especially during the cold winter months when it is hard to keep the leach lines from freezing,” said Michael Fitzsimonds, President."

RENO, NV, May 4, 2004 –

"Production of gold and silver dore’ from the Mineral Ridge mine has been steadily increasing due to both warmer temperatures which allows mining to move forward and placement of new ore onto the leach pad."

"Total production of dore’ during April was 1,407 troy ounces, which resulted in 693 troy ounces of gold and 661 troy ounces of silver."

"(The 53 ounce difference is due to other, none-valuable components in the dore’.) The total monthly operating cost for the Mineral Ridge mine, the Company’s Reno headquarters, and the other projects is currently calculated at 650 gold ounces per month."

“This is an enormous achievement for Golden Phoenix, its management team and shareholders,” said Michael Fitzsimonds, President. “We are rapidly approaching our monthly goal of 1,000 ounces per month at Mineral Ridge. “

RENO, NV, August 4, 2004

"....announced today improved production for July from its Mineral Ridge gold mine in Esmeralda County, Nevada."

"Gold production continues to increase since the Company began leaching operations in July 2003. Total gold production for July 2004 was 499 ounces of gold, which was better than the entire 1st quarter of 2004, which produced 456 ounces. Total gold production for all of 2004, through July, totals 2,120 ounces of gold, which is greater than the total output for the years 2002 and 2003, a combined 1,060 ounces of gold. Second quarter gold production totaled 1,165 ounces of gold. Total 2004 silver production is 1,882 ounces."

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 12, 2005

Golden Phoenix Minerals, Inc. (GPXM) , a mineral property
development and production company, announced today the inauguration of a comprehensive restructuring of all mining operations beginning with winter idling of the Mineral Ridge gold mine.

The idling is designed to redeploy manpower and resources, improve cash flow, and accelerate the development of certain high-yield mine assets. Mineral Ridge is scheduled to resume full operations pending
management evaluation of an engineering study commissioned to identify techniques for improving recovery rates from existing and newly uncovered higher-grade ore deposits.

ALL THAT with under capacity pumps.... ore the size of softballs and a pregnant pond that was engineered incorrectly and had a draw pipe sitting too high. NOT to mention the REST of the stuff carbon columns or what have ya....

"Site Operations

•Leach pad rehabilitation is well advanced with the new drainage system nearing completion. Crushing of the over-liner drainage aggregate and covering of the exposed liner will be completed by the end of November.

•Crushing the previously mined and placed Golden Phoenix material is scheduled to begin in the latter half of December with leach solution application commencing in January.

•Sludge removal from the barren pond was completed and all necessary liner repairs were performed. The barren pond is now fully operational.

•Removal of coarse material from the pregnant pond is underway and scheduled for completion by month end.

•The on-site assay laboratory expansion is in progress and scheduled for completion in February.

•Carbon columns in the adsorption desorption recovery (ADR) plant have been replaced and will be operational by mid December.

•Contractual arrangements for the stripping of carbon and refining of gold with outside parties are currently being finalized with first shipments scheduled to take place in January."

So, first of all we are hoping NOT to hear that Foreigner song.....

Second, We have a signposted track record to go by.....

THIRD the dore is close to 50/50 EVERY time..........

Fourth.... like I said, we'll KNOW very quickly how well things are going..... production wise.

FIFTH, NO GOLD will be walking away from the premissis on it's OWN.

The first month COULD get a kick start because:

"Peter J. Hawley, CEO, Director, reports, “While de-watering the pregnant and barren ponds for inspection and testing of the pond liners, company representatives were quite surprised to see that the barren pond design did not include a carbon fines pond. Typical pond design would include a settling pond for carbon fines created from attrition of the loaded carbons in the carbon adsorption circuit. Sampling of the barren pond sludge has returned significant results (Table 1).”

"Since the initial collection of these samples, water levels have been lowered and the gold-bearing sludge in the barren pond is estimated to range from 9 to 12 inches deep. The pregnant pond material averages 3 feet in depth and looks to be material from the heap leach pad that was allowed to wash into the pregnant pond. This material will be pumped into a “geotube” fabric tube and utilized as a berm in the barren pond to create a settling pond for future carbon fines segregation. Numerous samples have been taken from both ponds with the results listed in Table 1.

"The company is in the process of contacting companies experienced with this type of carbonaceous material for the potential processing and recovery of the precious metals. At this time it is unknown if it will be economic to process the sludge material."
