I remember last year when it fell through $3.00, it fell hard, and one major contributing factor was that the stock no longer qualified for margin accounts (which took out lots of players).  I think also that $3 is a magic number for some institutions as well.

So if it can get back above $3, it will command a higher and broader level of buying interest.
