There will be no short squeeze. All the shares shorted recently are against the shares in the latest new unit issue.

Safe to say that some will be covering with shares from the new unit issue but there are other shorters that didn't participate in the prospectus that jumped in too that will be covering. While not a big short squeeze there likely will be one. The sector should be rebounding next week so I like the chances that this moves up as it should out of oversold territory.

The CDS handles these shares to ensure their transactions are remedied and complete. To put this in perspective, the 700k shares that are on this list is only 1/10 of the approximately 7 million shorted shares that will have their positions covered.

Yes, I know. It's because the shorts haven't likely had the units split yet, so they don't have the shares to deliver. I imagine they should have them on Monday and they probably asked for an extension so they wouldn't get bought in.

There was already at least one forced buy in last week, I cut and pasted in the trading activity.

Yes, tiny, likely from someone who didn't ask for or was unable to get an extension. I this type of trade all the time. Not in this case, I didn't short against my units.

If naked shorting was illegal we'd need to build another big jail....check that TSX-Buy in list every day and see for yourself how many companies are on it, ususally at least 5 or 6 for each of the TSX and Venture exchanges, although at 700K+ TPB is far away the one with the highest level of delivery failures right now.
