Canadian police seized weapons and ammunition on Monday, February 14 and arrested eleven people on the border blockade of Coutts in Alberta (center), a crossing point with the United States paralyzed by anti-health measures demonstrators for a week.

In total, "13 long guns, handguns, several sets of bulletproof vests, a large amount of ammunition from high-capacity magazines" were discovered in three trailers, according to a police statement. An investigation was opened "to determine the extent of the threat and the criminal organization".

-----"Now that the most dangerous elements have been arrested, we will be able to apply the law more rigorously in Coutts," Alberta Premier Jason Kenney told reporters shortly after the law enforcement announcement.-----

Police said they had received information about a group installed at the border checkpoint and "ready to use force against the police if they tried to disrupt the blockade."
