Shay Keren, the New York man facing criminal bribery charges along with Vancouver's John Zanic, has pleaded guilty and received a six-month jail sentence. Prosecutors claimed that the two men paid $114,500 in bribes to an undercover agent posing as a person with access to crooked brokers. (All figures are in U.S. dollars.) In return, the agent agreed to have the brokers buy shares of Guyana Gold Corp., a pink sheets listing with properties in South America.
