I used to draft those PR documents and then the auditors and lawyers got hold of them and start to "bullet proof" every word said, hence the dull and boring reports we all get.  Writing skill has nothing to do with it, companies are more concern with protecting themselves in case of any misrepresentations that could comeback to haunt them.
