RE:Why are shares of producing gold stocks, money?

RE:Why are shares of producing gold stocks, money?Gold is money.
I can agree with that statement.
-
Gold mining stocks are money.
That statement causes me some disquietude.
I have been taught [perhaps brainwashed ] to believe that gold mines were, by nature, depreciating assents.
-
Every year they have less gold and eventually they will have no gold.
Eventually a gold mine will be worth zero.
A gold mine stock certificate cannot be put a way in a chest for scores of years and be presumed to have the same, or greater value, in general, when it is pulled back out.
-
So one must consider when is the optimal time to sell a gold stock.
Perhaps when gold stocks are outrageously expensive, and alternate investments are blood in the streets bargains.
-
However, IMHO, this is a conversation for way down the road.
Personally, I don’t have any target price to sell.
The probability that someone will buy our gold mine from us long before that time, IMHO, makes thinking about it unnecessary.
-
However, I do unanimously agree with you, that at the present time, and likely for the foreseeable future, there is no better place for your assets than in gold mining stocks.
Your education and health are possible exceptions.
