Not surprised that Gen 2 blend is doing better than Gen 1.  Curious whether the Agoracom show is being produced now.  They could pretty well redo one of the earlier ones and just update the relative numbers for the improvement.   I think in terms of share price appreciation and major $ interest, one of the obstacles to being impressed is the comparison to the evolving battery ...more

I like the steady improvement over graphite but don't quite get the percentage improvement.
Comment by Mostlyserious on Jun 12, 2024 8:38am
3,379 vs 2,775.  I get 22% rounded up.  I don't know if that is how it is meant to be looked at.  If I look at Gen 1 the same way, I get the 14% they mention so the question is whether it is supposed to be looked at that way or the 14% is a coincidence. i kinda trust that they wouldn't screw something like this up so assume that there is some different way this is ...more

Not that it matters but I should say I get the 14% comparing GEN 1 to graphite that they mentioned in GEN 1 NRs.  I don't get the 14% comparing GEN 2 to GEN 1 in this NR.  Just to be precise about my previous post.
Comment by lscfa on Jun 12, 2024 8:53am
At cycle 1 --- GEN2 22% more capacity than graphite.  At cycle 50 --- GEN2 30% more capacity than graphite.  Conclusion: GEN2 degrading slower than graphite.
Comment by Mostlyserious on Jun 12, 2024 8:59am
What numbers are you using to get 30%?
Comment by TOCKY8008 on Jun 12, 2024 9:10am
Mostly serious, You're right, the math doesn't show 30% improvement. But in the  may 16  Press release  they gave a capacity of 3,610 mAh for Gen2 not 3,379 mAh. 16 may Press release I guess this press release was not proof read. TOCKY8008
Comment by Mostlyserious on Jun 12, 2024 9:25am
Yes, that would work. Yup, they better fix this.  3,379 is not just pressing one wrong key while typing 3,610 and it will just bring into question what number is not correct (0now or the one before), or if both are correct, whether the drop off is degradation after additional 25 cycles. One might say who cares, 20% is still a solid improvement, but given the benchmark, it could make a huge ...more

Even if the improvement is 22% that's better than others doing blended anodes. Co. should explain what "optimized" will entail as GEN2 must be the addition of coatings to the silicon.
Comment by Mostlyserious on Jun 12, 2024 10:32am
That would be another incorrect statement that you made in two posts.  Read the NRs and try to understand what they say.
Comment by cashbag101 on Jun 12, 2024 10:57am
I don't  know what metrics HPQ use to come up with 14%,but I'm willing to bet that they use the numbers from a report from the university that is doing the testing, and I bet the university team doing the testing knows a little more then poster on those chat boards.
Comment by Mostlyserious on Jun 12, 2024 11:10am
You win the bet on the university doing the tests knowing more about their tests than anyone. You lose the bet if you are assuming that every poster gets the information in a news release correctly. i bet that the university doing the testing did not write the news release.  I can safely say I win that bet. So, as an invested shareholder tell us, what battery strength is the GEN 2 version ...more

I would not assume that, sometimes I think half the posters  can't read or comprehend what it is they are  try to read.
Comment by Mostlyserious on Jun 12, 2024 11:47am
i agree.  And too often those that do not read or can't comprehend what they read, criticize those that do. Anyhow, a great day today for the SP relatively speaking and given that it is the continuation of an upswing, I am guessing that it really is not related to today's NR.  And one hypothesis now is that PYR's selling put the downward pressure on the stock, likely at some ...more

Damn you like to run the mouth. You ever shut it? Even for a day? If we tell you you're  always correct and win every bet will you give us a single day of relief?
Comment by Mostlyserious on Jun 13, 2024 7:54am
My posting history does show that I do "shut it" "even for a day".  So, notch that to yet another thing to the list of things you are wrong. You don't have to tell me when I am correct. When I use published facts and use my brain, I know I am correct. You can chime in and tell me that I am wrong on this issue.  I posted facts, go ahead and inform the board where ...more

Hey Krappyshoes, If you have a personal problem with MS, put him on ignore. If you want relief, take some exlax as we know what your full of.

Of course you want that as you just love the bashers.    Thanks for longs like Krapshoets and others that expose the bashers agenda.   Bashers want to be left unimpeded and plant seeds of doubt.  HPQ has 4 verticals looking incredible.  Keep up the great work Bernard.
Comment by Mostlyserious on Jun 13, 2024 7:41pm
After 7 company news releases your first post attacks a shareholder for giving helpful suggestions and your response to a "bashers agenda" is that HPQ has 4 verticals looking incredible? How about contributing to the discussion with comments on the content on the updates?  You know, maybe help the cause against the "bashers agenda". I for one am pleased that the stock ...more

Great post. Respect and positive comments are always of greater value.
Comment by CAinPlap on Jun 14, 2024 10:12am
Posting both the good, the bad and the ugly does not make one a basher. It means the person knows how to objectively read the available information and make an informed opinion based on the known facts. Constantly waving the pom poms and complaining when not everyone is waving theirs hard enough sounds like a pumpers objective.
Comment by InvestTrader on Jun 14, 2024 4:58pm
Your post history on HPQ says it all.    "This dog has fleas"  "...20 cents to zero"   "...another 5 years and still R &D company"     Posters that post facts are pumpers?   Your comments are painting you basher that is obviously shorting HPQ.   HPQ and team are already at verge of ...more

InvestTrader, I found his perspective very reasonable and the one I believe majority of investors agree with.  The good, the bad and the ugly, based on facts paints a  more complete therefore more valuable picture. i looked at his posting history like you suggested.  I found that your quotes without context do not paint a picture that you are trying to paint.  I notice from ...more

Hopefully we'll hear from Bernard this afternoon and he can clear up the numbers. A 14% improvement on Gen 1 is in fact only a 2% additional improvement over graphite therefore Gen 2 is a 16% improvement over graphite. I believe whoever wrote this NR added the two 14% improvements to get "roughly 30% improvement ". Innocent mistake
