The institutional owners are factors
The institutional owners are factors Sprott may have a small position (as does Fidelity) but I can't see them walking away empty from the value in HRG. It's very doubtful any backdoor deals will happen.........there are some scumbags involved in fund companies but there is also a number of principled, intelligent and fair operators. They just don't let this stuff slide.
Ultimately...........I see an offer coming soon. Sprott and Fidelity's little holdings are worth about 2.5 mill at the current stock price...........that buys a lot of inhouse counsel (and even some outside counsel) if your going to lose it anyway. They have both unitholders and shareholders (not sure about Sprott's corporate arrangement) they have to report to.
Don't forget.........we all seem to agree it gets more valuable by the day.......and I doubt the institutional guys would toss away that 2.5 mill when gettin nasty might get things to a buck a share. Plus, have you met any fund managers.........number crunching nerds who will gouge your eyes out to win..........remember, most of them were very competitive youngsters who were terrible at sports. Having the russkies poop in their lunch kit? that won't go over well.
