RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Gold Major sniffinNot sure who you are upset with, but I will respond, politicaly correct or not. Often, when people speak about a country, such as Russia, yes it appears that they speak about all the people. Of course this is not the case. It is about the history or the government, the face and the perception of what to expect. So for example: are the "Russian People" responsible for their F'ck up leaders, lack of freedom, press suppression, crime, even murders of opposition leaders and those who speak up against the gov., and very questionable business environment and ethics of business people? Are they responsible for the mafia by ALL accounts entrenched in business in a BIG way? How about the dealings here as an example? This is more than some isolated example, it has been evident in MANY weird business  situations, extorsions, jailing of business people under VERY questionable charges, seemingly related to government opposition etc. So people, rightlfully question the "Russian Situation" and its whole environment.
In Canada, for example, we may have a joke for protection to date in so far as the TSX, but we can speak up, we can trust most business people in the broader sense, to a greater degree.IMO Or look to some possible remedies. In Russia, it is a complete joke, and needs some serious attention. So if this reflects unfairly to the overall Russian people, sorry, but that is a result of the reality, and perception of what is going on to people, such as myself.
I am not stupid.I understand the "average Russian" has no ability or control of this situation. But I am still going to call it the way it is: a very screwed up business and social system, regardless of its recent changes, which largely now appear to be cosmetic, in terms of the average citizen, and as previously, in favour of the rich politically aligned business people.
So do not bother playing the boo hoo, its not the Russian people, because WE are DEALING with Russian people here, and that is a FACT. And what is that history to date and ONGOING RIGHT NOW?????
The knowledge is well documented by the way. Russia ranks VERY low on the business analysis of ethics, trust , system of business law and protection etc etc etc.
I suggest instead of the crying towel and offence, if you care, WRITE to the Russian leaders complaining about their continued backing of this twisted system, and suggest  maybe they move in another direction if they ever want people to change their opinion of Russia. Most of the Russian People are great, but the country has very serious issues which reflect poorly and make it a VERY RISKY place to do business. Just a FACT.
Here at HRG - we have this all reflected and going on right now. Do you think they are typical Russian people? If not let them know. LOL If it smells like a..... Sorry if you are Russian, but it is not our fault, what is going on their these days, as it is not yours, possibly, or do you work at Severstal or HRG????
