Gold Major sniffing HRG at $1.50

There is speculation that a gold major wanting to increase its porfolio of producing gold properites may be having
a look at HRG.   The potential buyout could be 2x Book or approx. $1:50.

Could be just a rumour or not, do your own DD.

And how would that happen given Severstal's majority stake?

Where are you hearing this "speculation" from? or do you have a link to these rumours?

Stop obsessing over Severstal.   If Severstal owned  100% of HRG and a Major offered $5.00 for HRG.  I would say its a done deal.   Severstal can decide to sell their shares just like you and I can. C'mon Man!!

Gentleman don't kiss and tell.  Guys, there are not "links" to everything.  To give tou a hint, I would suggest reading  press releases from majors who are willing to increase the risk in their portfolio to increase the number of ozs.  they hold.

In as much as I would like this "speculatiuon" to be true, sorry just not buying it.  HRG does not have the OZ in the ground in proven reserves, and as such HRG would be at the bottom of any take-over list.CJ

On March 17, the company reported on a MICON expert audit of gold reserves at the Zun-Holba and Irokinda mines in the Buryat region of southeastern Siberia. Altogether, wrapping the results from that audit in with the Bissa gold project in Burkino Faso and the Prognoz silver project in the Sakha region of Siberia, and converting silver reserves into gold equivalent, HRG's gold equivalent ...more

Hello A4262, sorry HRG has 4.2 million oz  of gold as per HRG website, as of 2008, less production sold already. So call it 3.7 million OZ today, give or take an OZ or two, and that's 9 years of mine life on average. Severstal did announce a new drilling program to prove additional reserves, and HRG can take lower grades due to better gold price.  Bisa is not yet ...more

thanks CJ, we certainly can see a bullshitter from a mile away. Severstal has pretty clear plans, take us out cheap, then sell expensive, its much more rewarding for them that way. We are standing in between them and a big payday, and will fight to the end. Got that Russkies.
Comment by NaturalCurrency on Nov 17, 2009 2:03pm
Yes, we will fight to the end.

I am not so sure the Severstal plan is clear, even to them. LOL  Hey guys, they have many other issues on their plate, besides the gold properties. Their steel operation is a mess. Steel is being dumped all over the world, and there is no big up about to take place, that I can see. The story from Moscow has a ring of truth about it to me. But that is just a hunch as well.In any case, why ...more

My thoughts. If we do nothing we will probably end up with about 0.65 cents for our shares. If we have a legal battle and make him accountable i can see a 1.50. i can,t see either one of them scenarios as being over confident. We have a good thing but somebody wants us out and we know who and why.-Do you want a fight or do you want your 0.65 cents.--POLLY

What iposter made the inference,???    I don't recall making any but Canadians do really need  grow a       thicker skin.    Or maybe Russians do... or whatever nationality you represent.

Not sure who you are upset with, but I will respond, politicaly correct or not. Often, when people speak about a country, such as Russia, yes it appears that they speak about all the people. Of course this is not the case. It is about the history or the government, the face and the perception of what to expect. So for example: are the "Russian People" responsible for their F'ck up ...more
