The following companies may be active in Russian trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are from the previous close of trading in Moscow.
The 30-stock Micex Index gained 1 percent to 1,766.53 at the close in Moscow.
OAO Sberbank (SBER03 RX): Russia’s largest bank, which is looking to buy a brokerage, said that it hasn’t purchased Troika Dialog. Sberbank shares fell 1.1 percent to 102.75 rubles.
OAO Severstal (CHMF RX): Nord Gold NV, a unit of Russia’s largest steelmaker, may lower the price of its London initial public offering which planned to raise as much as 933 million pounds ($1.5 billion). Severstal shares fell 0.2 percent to 541.12 rubles.
OAO Raspadskaya (RASP RX): The Russian coal producer for steelmaking confirmed it raised domestic prices for February through March 8.5 percent against January. Raspadskaya climbed 0.9 percent to 230.44 rubles.

Let me rephrase that--it was somewhere between a rhetorical question and stating what I expected to follow after this news release.I almost "know" the games will ramp up.  I suspect there will be some heavy duty tree shaking this week.  My other feeling is that whether the IPO fails or not, Severstal wins.  Holding on TIGHT to my shares.

Can you please elaborate on what do you mean by "Severstal wins" in either of the scenarios? Are you implying that if the IPO is successful they of course get the valuation they wnet after, and if it is unsuccessful they get to buy some HRG shares on the cheap?
